Sean Collins:

Seán Collins is a singer-songwriter from Donabate in North County Dublin. Growing up surrounded by Irish traditional music, Seán blends traditional Irish elements with modern acoustic folk to fuse his own unique style, inspired by artists of the past and of the present. Seán has taken his music to the stage in venues such as The Olympia Theatre, The Grand Social, and The Workmans Club, as he bolsters his portfolio of original songs.

Leithinis CCÉ & Brook Trad

Leithinis Donabate Portrane CCÉ is Co. Dublin’s newest branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, founded in 2019 and teaching over 50 students of all ages.

Committed to the promotion of traditional Irish music and culture on the Donabate-Portrane peninsula, new members and volunteers and always welcome.

In this TradFest in Fingal Fringe performance, they will be joined by Brook Trad Group for a foot-tapping selection of traditional Irish tunes.

Éamonn Galldubh, Daire Bracken & Alan Burke

For this TradFest in Fingal Fringe Session, accomplished musicians and good friends Éamonn Galldubh, Daire Bracken and Alan Burke will join forces for a tremendous trad session. It promises to be a great gig at The Brook.

About Éamonn Galldubh: An acclaimed musician, Éamonn Galldubh has toured and recorded with renowned artists such as Clannad, Moya Brennan, Jiggy, and Riverdance. He has graced stages in over 40 countries, including notable venues like the Kremlin Palace Theatre and the pyramids at Giza. Éamonn's musical journey began at age eight with the tin whistle, eventually mastering instruments like the uilleann pipes, flute, bodhrán, guitar and saxophone. He holds a first-class honours Master's degree in music performance and is pursuing a PhD, focusing on baroque music on the uilleann pipes. As a composer, his works
have been showcased by Moya Brennan and Jiggy.

 

About Daire Bracken: composer, bi-lingual songwriter and renowned fiddler. As a founding member of many successful bands including Slide & Danú, he has wowed audiences around the world with his exuberant creative playing and infectious stage presence. Hailing from a musical family close to the pulse of traditional music in Dublin afforded him great exposure from a young age to some of the country’s finest musicians as they passed through the capital. Absorbing these and many eclectic influences, this musical curiosity’s exploratory style has intrigued listeners and brought about many musical collaborations; from
electronica to jazz, sean-nós to modern, Dingle to Mongolia!

 

About Alan Burke: Alan Burke, known for his vast repertoire in English and Irish songs, captivates audiences with his dynamic guitar style and powerful, clear voice. He has released two acclaimed solo albums, "On The Other Hand" (1998) and "Tip Of The Tongue" (2000), and has been involved in numerous collaborations and band projects. A former lead singer, guitarist, and bodhrán player with the band Afterhours, Alan made a significant impact in traditional music during the 1980s and 90s. He has since been a part of various groups including At First Light and Rambling Boys of Pleasure, and has recently performed with piper Paddy Keenan, in addition to his solo work in Ireland, the UK, and Europe.
