The four day Irish Optimist National Championships is a highly anticipated event in the Irish sailing calendar. Up to 200 young, talented Irish and visiting sailors will compete in this fiercely contested event, which also provides a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for visiting families.
 
The event is to be hosted by Howth Yacht Club, a unique venue located on the beautiful Howth Peninsula, just north of Dublin. The sailing conditions in Howth are some of the best in the world, and the club is looking forward  to hosting this major event.
