Join Carol Doyle for a guided walk and learn about the wildflowers that have made their home "all along the banks of the Royal Canal".

The Royal Canal at Clonsilla is very special and unique. Known as "The Deep Sinking", it forms part of the old Carpenterstown Quarries, has a different landscape and is a thriving habitat for flora and fauna alike.

Carol Doyle is passionate about preserving our native flora and fauna, and getting people interested in what grows and lives around us. Carol has been documenting the flora and fauna along the Royal Canal for many years and, this biodiversity week, will share her knowledge with you!

Meet at St. Mochta's National School in Clonsilla. Please wear suitable footwear, dress for the weather and afterwards we'll head to St Mary's Church Hall, for refreshments and chat.

The walk is a free event but requires registration here.

This event is brought to you by Clonsilla Tidy Towns and Clonsilla & Porterstown Heritage Society. Kindly supported by Fingal County Council.
